Please Pray for my Son!

I just got a call from Orlando, FL, our 13 year-old son Devante, got admitted to the hospital for observations due to him being unable to swallow for the last couple of weeks. They initially thought that he just had a case of tonsillitis, they then felt that it may be an infection of his sinuses. But after a couple of tests, the doctors felt the need to keep him overnight so that they will be able to run a tube down his throat to take pictures of his cavities to see if he may have a scratch or some sort of other infection.

I have a hopeless feeling because our sons live a thousand miles away and in instances like this, it is hard for me to focus much. Please pray for my son, I need the Lord to move in a mighty way so that my boy will be alright. Please blog friends, ask the Lord to calm my nerves and please keep my boy safe. Tonight when you talk to the Master, please call my boys name in prayer. I am anticipating a great praise report on tomorrow.

Please Pray For Pastor Timothy Wright

The church and gospel music community is sending out our prayers for gospel music legend and pastor of Grace Tabernacle Christian Center, Timothy Wright who is fighting for his life in a hospital in Pennsylvania, as on last night he, his wife and grandson were traveling home from a denominational conference when there was a collision where his wife Betty was killed instantly and Pastor Wright and his grandson were reported to be on life support and it's not looking good for his grandson's survival.

The emails and correspondence has gone out requesting our prayers for him not just because he is a great gospel singer known for such hits as Trouble Don't Last Always, Been There, Done That and his latest hit, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, but more importantly because Grace Tabernacle needs their Pastor. Both the church and his family are in need of our prayers and strength to help them get through this tragic time.

Get Well My Friend!!!

This past week, I received a distressing phone call from a man who has quickly become one of my best friends, Pastor Romell Williams, Lilydale Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, Chicago, IL, to inform me that he had to have an emergency surgery procedure done one week ago.

Romell is without question, one of the best expositors of our day and one of my favorite personalites in this country. I am a fan of Romell Williams, not because he can "shut it down" with the best of them, not because of the size of his church, but because of his total commitment to true biblical exposition. I like to believe that I have matured to a point in my own ministry that I am drawn to preachers who make every attempt at exposition every time they stand before the people of God, and Romell is one such man.

I am eagerly awaiting his arrival at our church in July for our first tent revival in our history and I look forward with great anticipation being poured into with the pure milk of God's Word. Please keep my friend and the Lilydale Church in your prayers.
